The Annapolis Opera Vocal Competition Committee extends a cordial invitation to you to have your students and faculty members apply for the 21st Annual Annapolis Opera Vocal Competition. The preliminary rounds will be held on January 30 and 31, 2009, and the final round will be on February 8. Further information may be found in the instructions, which are part of the application found under ‘Talent Development’ on www.annapolisopera.org.

Please advise applicants to read the instructions carefully as the process for filing applications has changed. The application can be submitted online, the preferred method.  However, the application can be submitted in hardcopy as well.  Payment can be submitted via Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express, or by check or money order payable to Annapolis Opera Inc. 
 
Please choose your aria list carefully. You must include arias in at least three different languages, one of which must be English. Your list must include arias in different styles, moods, and tempos. You may not change your list after the application has been filed.
 
Although the deadline is not until December 1, time slots for the preliminary round on January 30 and 31 are limited.  Audition appointment will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.  Applications received after the schedule is full will be waitlisted.
