An intensive program for talented and dedicated singers, offering:

Daily classes in Diction, Vocal Repertoire, and Performance Practice

Workshops in Drama, Stage Movement and Audition Skills

Daily Masterclasses (open for public attendance)

Daily vocal lessons (alternating days)

Recital performance

Audition to be an Artist or apply to be an Auditor.

Artists receive voice lessons, participate in the Workshops, attend the classes and are active participants in the Daily Masterclasses. Artists perform in the

Artist Recital.

Auditors attend the classes and Daily Masterclasses.

Limited space for either level of participation. Artists pay tuition

($500); Auditors are tuition-free.

SCHOLARSHIPS

There is a scholarship available to American singers called the “Harriet Hale Woolley Scholarship” and it is connected with the Fondation des Etats-Unis through the Cite Universitaire (in the 14th arrondissement). The scholarship for 8500 Euros for a school year (housing is included at the Cite Universitaire and free classes in French if desired). This enables the singer to live at the Cite Universitaire, take lessons in Paris, and pursue audition/performance opportunities in Europe.

 

The only requirement is that each person needs to perform about 2 recitals for the year, repertoire to be chosen by the singer. For more information, please visit www.feusa.org. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2010.

1 professional bass is needed to supplement the chancel choir of approximately 25 singers, consisting of volunteers and a paid quartet. Section leaders must have excellent sight-reading skills and be able to blend into a choral sound. Previous church choir experience is desirable. Position will be available beginning September 2010. Pay is $82 per call. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 8:00-9:30 p.m. There is one Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m., with occasional additional services throughout the year. The choir sings from September to May.
