Placement Audition Schedule
Peabody Symphony Orchestra
Peabody Concert Orchestra
Peabody Wind Ensemble
Academic year 2011-2012 placement auditions for the Peabody Symphony and Concert Orchestras, and the Peabody Wind Ensemble, are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, and will continue through Tuesday, August 30. Below are listed the instrumental groups scheduled for each day. Students should make certain that they arrive on campus well in advance of the scheduled time for their audition. Specific assigned times for individuals are now posted to each day's schedule, linked below.
Wednesday, August 24:
Trumpet, Harp, Clarinet
Thursday, August 25:
Horn, Violoncello
Friday, August 26:
Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Contrabass, Saxophone, Violin (Part I)
Saturday, August 27:
Violin (Part II)
Monday, August 29:
Bassoon, Oboe, Viola
Tuesday, August 30:
Flute, Percussion
Chamber Music Auditions for New Students
New students in flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, violin, viola, and violoncello are also required to play a chamber music audition. These will take place on Thursday, September 1, and Friday, September 2 in Griswold Hall. The audition repertoire will be exactly the same as that played for the large ensemble placement auditions.
