Graduate Music Education
The Master of Music program in music education is designed for those already certified to teach in the public schools. It is quite flexible in order to adapt to individual needs. If you have the necessary certification, it is very likely you will be accepted to the program. Peabody offers an undergraduate certification program for applicants who wish to become certified to teach (usually students who were performance majors as undergraduates). Program requirements may be completed on a part-time basis.
In addition, Peabody offers a Masters program geared to Maryland teachers looking to maintain their credentials. This version of the MM in music education has special pricing, and is designed to accommodate the needs of teachers currently employed in the field.
