Peabody Exploritas Coordinators

Carol Lidard, Julia Potler, Theresa Veatch and Barbara Wadyka

Carol Lidard, the Exploritas and Peabody Inn Manager, is a native Baltimorean. She joined Peabody Exploritas as an experienced manager with 18 years of administrative and fiscal experience. For eight years, she served as Director of Finance and Administration for the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, leading them through significant growth in their operation. Carol initially began her professional career as a teacher of dyslexic children in a private school in Baltimore County. Most recently, she has been a successful entrepreneur, having completed five years as an artisan/owner of her business, "Off the Wall Studio," where she designed, built, and sold home goods made with architectural remnants (such as antique ceiling tin and reclaimed wood) from old Baltimore row houses.

Julia Potler joined the Peabody Exploritas staff in 2004 upon graduation from Goucher College, MD, where she obtained a degree in Arts Administration and Flute performance. Prior to Peabody, Julia interned at both the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, where she was the music librarian, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, in the public relations department. She is the proud mother of a beautiful baby boy, Joseph Ryan, born September 2008!

Theresa Veatch is a native Baltimorean who joined our staff in August 2008. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of Baltimore. For 13 years, Theresa was an enlisted member of the Maryland Air National Guard where she trained in hospitality and lodging. Other work experience includes marketing at Clifton Gunderson; human resources at T. Rowe Price; and orientation and training for an engineering firm. Theresa is a former student of Peabody Preparatory Dance. Her daughter is in the Preparatory's young children’s ballet program.

Barbara Wadyka is a graduate of Goucher College with majors in International Relations and Fine Arts. Her work experience includes managing the college relations program for AT&T and coordinating marketing and licensing at the United States Golf Association. Barbara relocated to Baltimore in 2000 from her native New Jersey. She is a volunteer docent at Homewood House Museum and joined the Peabody Exploritas Staff in 2001.
