Young Children's Program
The Young Children's Program for 3-6 year olds is designed to spark innate creativity and begin to build a foundation for more in-depth technical training. This program offers two levels of training for children:
Creative Dance for three and four year olds begins to set a strong foundation for more formal dance study by strengthening movement/locomotive skills and flexibility and by stimulating rhythmic awareness and expressiveness;
Introduction to Ballet 1 and 2 for five and six year olds approach basic fundamentals of ballet (placement, port de bras, footwork and simple vocabulary).
Policies and Procedures
Students in the Young Children's Program are expected to follow Peabody Dance's dress code for all classes.

“It is so rewarding to see the little dancers show love to the elderly…” -Holly Mora
With the intention of introducing the art of performance and sharing to our youngest students, the Peabody Dance Young Children’s Program presents four annual outreach performances at local nursing homes or assisted living facilities to coincide with our festive holiday celebrations. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to dance for the most appreciative of audiences. In addition, it allows our senior citizens to experience the excitement and joy of having such charming visitors. A few weeks prior to any performance, the faculty speaks to the class about the intended audience and that while there will be varied reactions, including laughter and crying, all are a result of happiness at having such lovely performers. Past excursions have been extremely successful, and a wonderful time is had by both performer and audience member alike.
