B.M. in Saxophone, M.M. in Jazz and Contemporary Media, Eastman School of Music.  Mr. Belzer was honored by Downbeat Magazine, Jazz Composers Alliance and The Maryland State Arts Council.  He has published work on Advance Music and UNC Jazz Press.  He is the Director of Homewood Jazz Ensembles at Johns Hopkins University and a faculty member at The University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  His teachers included Ramon Ricker, Fred Sturm, Bill Dobbins and Frank Mazzeo.
