Trumpet

BM Peabody Conservatory; Dalcroze Teaching Certification, University of Maryland. Bender has had solo and principal trumpet engagements with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra; New World Symphony, the D.C.s Metropolitan Orchestra; Aspen Festival Orchestras; Peabody Symphony Orchestra; and Johns Hopkins University Symphony. She has performed with Concert Artists of Baltimore, Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Annapolis Symphony, Baltimore Big Band, and Lexington Brass Quintet. A finalist in the National Trumpet Competition, she is founder and first trumpet of the Charm City Brass Quintet. Conductor of the Westminster Symphony Orchestra, she is also a faculty member at Carroll Community College and the Music and Arts Center in Laurel and an outreach faculty member for the Baltimore School for the Arts.
