Trumpet

Cameron PhotoMr. Cameron has been on the Peabody trumpet faculty for 30 years. He received his B.M. from East Carolina University; M.M., Peabody Conservatory. Studied with Barry Shank, William Lang, Howard Snell, James Hustis. Soloist, Belvedere Players; first trumpet, Chesapeake Brass Quintet. Former member, Florida International Music Festival Orchestra (principal), Annapolis Symphony (principal), North Carolina Symphony (asst. principal) Performances with the Baltimore Symphony, London Symphony. Workshops and clinics throughout the East Coast and Mid-west. Published articles in the Instrumentalist on trumpet performance. In 2004, Mr. Cameron was awarded the  Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Music at East Carolina University. Mr. Cameron also serves on the trumpet faculty of University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Shepherd University.  He has conducted the UMBC Symphony for 15 years.

Mr. Cameron founded a non-profit 501(c) 3 charity, Sailing Aboard Recovery Foundation, Inc, in 2002.  SAR takes disadvanged, at risk, and seriously ill children on sailing trips on the Chesapeake Bay.
