The class/parent phone tree is the source of communication about :

- Class cancellations due to inclement weather

- Studio presentations and performances

- Receptions, refreshment contributions, etc.

- Updated class schedules

- Summer programs

- Dress code

- Master Classes and other Peabody Dance events

- Rehearsal and performance schedules

 Due to Inclement Weather:

Peabody Dance follows the Peabody Preparatory class cancellation policy due to inclement weather. Please note that classes are not necessarily canceled when academic schools are closed. Since most dance classes are scheduled during the late afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, inclement weather in the morning may not indicate that classes will be canceled. Please check the Johns Hopkins University Weather/Emergency Information page to find out if Peabody Preparatory classes have been canceled. You may also call the JHU Weather Hotline at (410) 516-7781. In the event that classes are canceled, instructors will contact class parents and messages will be passed through the class phone trees. Once classes resume, make-up sessions will be scheduled, most often during the Peabody Preparatory make-up week. Make-up sessions can also be scheduled during Peabody Preparatory breaks or at other times as determined by the Artistic Director and the instructors.
