Parking at Peabody
Downtown Campus
All registered Peabody Dance students are eligible for subsidized parking in the Peabody Garage located on the corner of St. Paul and Centre Streets. Parking is available on Monday - Friday from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm and during normal Garage hours on Saturdays and Sundays, for Peabody Dance classes, rehearsals, and events, provided that space is available.
Parking Process for Peabody Garage
Upon entry to the Peabody Garage, please press the button and take a ticket. If there is "Garage Full, Admitting Monthly Permit or Coupon Holders Only" sign outside of the Garage, Peabody Dance students and/or parents are still permitted to enter, provided that it is during the hours listed above and space is available. (Please indicate to the Garage attendant that you are a Peabody Dance student/parent.) Upon exiting the Garage, please present the Garage attendant with the parking ticket you received upon entry and show your Peabody Preparatory Student ID card to receive the special low parking rate of $2.00 per park. If the parking ticket indicates entry outside of the hours listed above, the Peabody Dance student/parent will not qualify for the special parking rate. The regular Peabody Garage hourly rates will apply. Peabody Dance students/parents must exit the Garage prior to closing for the evening or the regular Peabody Garage hourly rates will apply.
For those wishing only to drop-off or pick-up a Peabody Dance student, the Garage offers parking free of charge, provided that the vehicle exits the Garage within 15 minutes of entry.
Parking on the Street ...
There is some limited street parking in the area around the Downtown Campus. Some areas have hourly meters, whereas other areas are zoned for residential permits. Visitors may park up to two hours in the residential areas, or for longer after 8:00 pm on weeknights, and all day on weekends. Since Mt. Vernon is a busy and vibrant area of Baltimore, parking violations are quickly ticketed. For this reason and for the sake of convenience, most Peabody Dance students and parents prefer to park in the Peabody Garage.
Towson Campus
Parking is available free of charge in the lot in front of the building.
