duoMare strongly feels that the flute and guitar is a beautiful combination.  Since both instruments have a long history, there are numerous repertoires to play.  The Guitar can play the figured bass and the flute can play the melody line by Italian baroque composers, and they can play contemporary music as well. duoMare recently have been researching repertoire not only for flute and guitar duo, but also for larger chamber ensembles including Haydn’s Quartet in G, Op. 5, No. 4 for flute, violin, viola, guitar and basso continuo, Schubert’s Notturno and Quartet for flute, viola, cello, and guitar, and Dennis Riley’s Summer music for voice, flute and guitar. duoMare invites guest artists to play with them in concerts and  shows a variety of repertoire and the beauty of chamber music as a reflection of the partnership, friendship and membership of our human society.
