Daniel Levitov
Coordinator of Cello, Chamber Music; Conductor of Preparatory Young Artists Orchestra
BM Oberlin Conservatory;
MM Manhattan School of Music; D.M.A. City University of
New York. A regular substitute with the Baltimore Symphony
Orchestra, Levitov appears frequently with members of the
symphony on the Chamber Music by Candlelight series. He has
performed as a soloist in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and on
Strathmore’s Music in the Mansion series, and as a concerto soloist
with the Manhattan Virtuosi, the Mendocino Festival Orchestra,
and the Peabody Camerata. He performs with the Cabrillo Festival
of Contemporary Music and as part of the Sunderman Trio at
the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College,
where he is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Cello. Levitov is also
on the faculty of the Killington Music Festival. His students
have won ASTA, Washington Performing Arts Society, and other
competitions.
