First Year:

Technique and Repertoire:

  • Major and minor scales in three octaves.
  • Other material determined by the teacher after evaluation of each student’s individual needs.

Departmental Examination:

  • Major and minor scales
  • Ten minutes of music which includes two contrasting selections (unaccompanied Bach and concertos should be memorized).

Second Year:

Technique and Repertoire:

  • Major and minor scales in three octaves.
