Ballet and Creative Dance
Lisa Green-Cudek, B.S. Skidmore College; M. L..A. Temple University; completed the Ed.D program Temple University (a.b.d.). Ms. Green-Cudek has taught dance to children in the U.S. and Germany for 20 years. Locally, she has taught at the Bryn Mawr School, Roland Park Elementary School, Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts, and Randallstown High School. In 2006, she was a participant in Arts Integration training at the MSDE sponsored Maryland Artist/Teacher Institute. Ms. Green-Cudek has also been active teaching in higher education. She has taught dance courses at The University of the Arts, Temple University and in the Teacher Training program at Tanz und Theaterwerkstatt in Frankfurt, Germany. Her dance writing has appeared in numerous publications including Tanz Aktuell and Contact Quarterly. She has presented papers and lectures in varied forums including The Congress on Research in Dance and the Frankfurter forum fur Neue Tanz. Ms. Green-Cudek founded and co-directed the Jewish/German Dance Theater with whom she performed throughout East and West Germany and the Mid Atlantic States. She has worked with various independent choreographers and premiered the role of Jacob in Meira Weinzweig's Jacob and the Angel at the American Dance Festival in 1990. Ms. Green-Cudek's television appearances include CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Kurault, Sender Freis Berlin, Hessicher Rundfunk, Sudwestfunk and Deutscher Rundfunk. In April 2007, Ms. Green-Cudek's collaboration with composer Amy Kirsten will be featured in the program "New Works" which will be performed at Friedberg Hall to celebrate Peabody's 150th anniversary.
