As Director of the Concert Office, Teresa oversees the operations of the Concert Office, Box Office, and Piano Technicians. The Concert Office manages Peabody's public concerts, maintains the schedules for Peabody's five concert halls, runs Peabody's yearly competitions, and oversees many of Peabody's recital series in the community. Students wishing information about degree recitals, non-degree recitals and competitions should inquire at the Concert Office.
 
B.M. Peabody Conservatory, M.M. University of South Carolina. Studied with Laurence Lesser, Robert Jesselson, Stephen Kates. Former faculty member of Bethany College & West Liberty State College, WV and Heidelberg College, OH. Recording Artist, First Impression Music U.S. and Golden Strings of Hong Kong. Fulbright Lectureship to reconstruct the string department of the National Conservatory of Guatemala, 1990. Holds additional Associate Degree of Individualized Studies in Graphic Design and Marketing. Formerly Manager of the Youth Orchestra program of The Cleveland Orchestra.
 

SUSAN CAPLAN
Concert and Publications Coordinator

Susan designs and produces all of Peabody's Conservatory concert, opera and recital programs. She assists the Concert Office Director with all phases of the student recital process, including recital and rehearsal scheduling, and acts as an alternate Concert Manager for Peabody's public performances. She also oversees the Concert Office student workers in the production of degree recital programs. Students who are interested in employment with the Concert Office should contact Susan. 

B.A., George Washington University, M.A., Publications Design and Writing, University of Baltimore. Who's Who In America's Colleges and Universities, 1992-93. Served on the special events planning committee of the Baltimore Museum of Art. Formerly an Ad Designer for Patuxent Publishing, and Technical Coordinator for the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.


JESSICA HANEL
Concert Series Coordinator

In addition to general duties in the Peabody Concert Office, Jessica is the Coordinator for several of Peabody's in-house and outreach concert series, including Thursday Noon, Peabody at Homewood, and the Easton Academy of the Arts recital series. She also makes logistical arrangements relating to travel and performances of guest and faculty artists, and serves as an alternate Box Office Manager for Peabody's public concerts.

B.A. Bethel College, M.M. Peabody Conservatory. Studied with William Sharp, Eileen Farrell, Victoria Garrett. Currently studies with Ruth Drucker, Thomas Houser. Winner of the Baltimore Music Club Competition, the Marian B. and Samuel Bernstein Memorial Prize for Opera, second prize in the Russell T. Wonderlic Competition for Voice, second prize in the Kennett Symphony of Chester County Voice Competition, first prize in the Michigan NATS competition, awarded a Peabody Career Development Grant. Has been an events coordinator for Government House, official Guest House for the City of Baltimore. Formerly an administrative assistant in institutional development for the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
