What is offered?

Master Classes

Sessions with acclaimed guest artists and other distinguished faculty:
Marcia Dale Weary, revered teacher and artistic director of Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.

Laszlo Berdo, former Boston Ballet principal, now CPYB faculty, international guest teacher and choreographer.

Rhodie Jorgenson, ballet luminary, on faculty of MD Youth Ballet and noted rehearsal coach.

Master Class Observation

Building the Foundation
the art of teaching ballet fundamentals to children

Training the Male Student
Are there differences in approach?
If so, how do we resolve them?

 

Who is invited?

Master Classes

Serious intermediate and advanced ballet students, ages 11 and up.

Elementary ballet students, ages 8-12, selected by senior Seminar teachers.

Teachers of enrolled students are welcome to observe classes free of charge, except the Elementary Ballet class which is open only to Teachers’ Seminar attendees.

Teachers’ Seminar

Senior teachers from private studios and public school dance programs; college faculty.

Apprentice teachers/college dance students over age 17.
