Piano
Christine began piano lessons at the age of five. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance, a master’s degree and artist diploma from Northwestern University with top honors. She is currently in the graduate diploma program at the Peabody Conservatory studying with Yong Hi Moon. She has also studied with Professor Edmund Battersby, Dr. David Kaiserman, and Dr. Sylvia Wang. She is an avid Chamber musician.
Christine has been hailed by the Leipzig Newspaper as “unique and colorful”. Christine made her piano debut at the age of 14 in New York City’s Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
Christine has garnered many prizes in numerous competitions, most recently being named a LaGesse Fellow which included a sponsored concert to Toulouse, France. She was invited as the only pianist to perform in Peabody’s Dean’s Invitational Concert for graduates in May, 2006. Christine has performed in many solo as well as chamber music recitals. Ms. Kim’s performances have taken her to international venues including halls in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Russia. She has participated in numerous master classes with Nelita True, Ursula Oppens, Early Carlyss, Nina Lelchuk and most recently, Leon Fleisher.
