Denise Tryon

Denise Tryon joined the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in June of 2003 as Fourth Horn.  After graduating high school from Interlochen Arts Academy, Tryon received her Bachelor of Music degree at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.  In 1995 she joined the New World Symphony, and in 1998 went on to hold the position of Fourth Horn with the Columbus Symphony.  In 2000 Tryon joined the Baltimore Symphony as Second Horn, a position she held for three years before coming to Detroit. Her main teachers were Charles Kavalovski, Richard Sebring and Frøydis Ree Wekre. She currently adjunct faculty at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, and the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD.
