B.M. Seoul National University; M.M. and D.M.A. Peabody Conservatory. While at Peabody Conservatory, Bae studied with Victor Danchenko.  Bae is an active performer and has appeared on stage at venues in Aspen, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Holland and Korea. Her concerto performances include those with the KBS Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, SNU Orchestra and Aspen Youth Artist Orchestra. Bae has appeared in recital at Carnegie Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Vina-del-mar Concert Hall, Kumho Art Hall, and Sunje Art Hall. Her performance with Yuri Smirnov was broadcast in Canada in 2003. Awards include fellowships from the Sylvia Friedberg Foundation, the Dr. Luis Sigall Foundation, the Embassy of Korea, the Korean-American Foundation, and the Sejong Foundation.
