William Nerenberg

Bill Nerenberg's career has spanned the corporate sector, non-profit management, and the entertainment industry.  He has served as a program development and marketing consultant for major corporations including Volvo Cars North America, Rolls Royce of North America, and Mind's Eye Magazine.  For more than a decade he was active in the music industry as a personal manager for groups and artists such as Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard and the Pointer Sisters.   As a band leader/performer he has played woodwinds and percussion in commercial and jazz groups.  He has taught jazz improvisation and history of jazz courses at the collegiate level, and has presented lectures in music business management at schools and universities around the country  and currently at Peabody.   Always an active civic and cultural volunteer, Bill has served on the boards of the Shriver Hall Concert Series, Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, Baltimore Symphony Associates, Community Concerts at Second, the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra and Concertante.  He is currently president and co-founder of the New Chamber Festival Baltimore and is director of Peabody Presents, which provides career advising and management assistance to Peabody students, alumni and faculty.  He was also co-founder of the American Society on the Abuse of Children.
