Admissions Office

Leakin Hall, Plaza Level
410-234-4848

The Office of Admissions is responsible for new student recruitment and selection at the Peabody Conservatory. During the summer and fall months, admissions and faculty personnel develop student contacts through major summer music festivals, high school ensembles, and regional performing groups. The admissions staff also coordinates regional auditions and interviews for graduate assistantships.

Auditions for entrance to degree programs are scheduled twice during the academic year in February and May. Artist Diploma, Doctor of Musical Arts, Homewood/Peabody Double Degree, Flute, Composition, Pedagogy, Music Education, and Conducting applications are only considered during the February audition period. Other majors may be limited to the February audition period in a given year. Thus, if you wish to audition in May, it is recommended that you speak with your major teacher to be sure auditions will be held.
