B.M., New England Conservatory of Music; Artist Certificate, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; Artist Diploma in Chamber Music, Peabody Conservatory. Studied with Leonard Shure and Leon Fleisher. Pianist for the Peabody Trio, winner of the 1989 Naumburg Chamber Music Award and Peabody ensemble-in-residence since 1987. As a member of the Knopp-Melancon Duo with violinist Violaine Melancon, 1986 winner of the USIA Artistic Ambassador Competition. Performances in North America, Europe, the Far East, and Middle East with appearances at New York's Alice Tully Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, Israel's Jerusalem Music Center, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Master classes at Eastman, San Francisco Conservatory, New York University, Conservatoire de Montreal, Jerusalem Music Center, and Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts. Co-artistic director and piano faculty, Yellow Barn Music School and Festival. Recordings on CRI, Analekta, and New World Records labels.
