Music theory, Piano literature

B.A., University of Pennsylvania; M.M. in Piano Performance, Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University, Israel; Ph.D. in music history and theory, University of Chicago; D.M.A. in Piano Performance, Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University. Teachers included Yoheved Kaplinsky, Alexander Volkov, and Frances Fanelli. Advisors included Philip Gossett and Jeffrey Kallberg. Music theory faculty at the Peabody Conservatory since 1996, piano literature faculty since 2006. Professor of Piano Literature at the Juilliard School of Music since 2004. Adjunct professor in the Humanities Center of the Johns Hopkins University, Fall 2003 and 2004; adjunct faculty in the Humanities department at the Peabody Conservatory, Spring 2003 and 2005. Peabody Preparatory Faculty in Piano and Theory, 1995-1996; Visiting faculty, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Spring 1994. Solo and chamber music recitals in Baltimore, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Tel Aviv, Israel.
