Alum Pratt performs at White House

Pianist Awadagin Pratt (PC ’89, Piano; PC ’89, Violin; GPD  ’92, Conducting) performed yesterday in the East Room of the White House with violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and guitarist Sharon Isbin. The performance was part of the White House Music Series, created by First Lady Michelle Obama to celebrate the arts and demonstrate the importance of arts education. The artists also gave a workshop for more than 100 middle and high school students, including two from the Baltimore School for the Arts.
