Students take part in Baltimore's Festival of Maps

The SONAR new music ensemble, in collaboration with the Walters Art Museum, presents a program of contemporary music accompanied by projected images from the Hubble Space Telescope in conjunction with the museum's Mapping the Cosmos exhibit.

The program will include the music of Sebastian Currier, John Cage, Peter Klatzow, Luciano Berio, John Adams, and will also include a segment titled The Planets which will feature short works of faculty and student composers from the Peabody Conservatory. The SONAR new music ensemble is a Baltimore-based ensemble made of a group of students from the Peabody Conservatory.
