Roberto Diaz Master Class

The Viola Department was pleased to hold a viola master class with the incomparable Roberto Diaz. Mr. Diaz is one of the busiest teachers, soloists, and chamber music performers in the world. He is also currently the President of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. We were so grateful that he was able to spend the time with us. The event was held on December 9th, 2007. Mr. Diaz heard the Walton Viola Concerto, Der Schwandreher, and the Bartok Viola Concerto. Seven students got the opportunity to play for Mr. Diaz after having auditioned for the chance the day before.
