# 13265 Snapshot: Music of Mozart
Program

featuring José Cueto and Aaron Sherber

Survey the magnificent music of Mozart while exploring two contrasting genres of music: chamber music and opera. The perfect synthesis of form, content, polish, charm and emotion will be uncovered in the chamber works of Mozart through selections from his quartets and quintets. In contrast, explore the master/servant relationship and foibles of the human heart through Mozart's opera, Le Nozze di Figaro, (The Marriage of Figaro), which focuses on musical and social aspects of the late 18th century. Afficionados and beginners alike will enjoy this celebration of Mozart's most beautiful music.

NOTE:

In contrast to our regular programs, which last 6 days and 5 nights, "Snapshot" programs are shorter, running 4 days and 3 nights. They are designed to provide an introduction to all that our Elderhostel has to offer! This program will begin on Sunday, March 7, 2010 and will conclude on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
