Program

featuring Douglas Heist, Mark McCoy and Janice Macaulay

Don't miss a privileged opportunity to meet the world-class conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Marin Alsop. Observe Alsop lead the BSO in rehearsal and participate in an exclusive Q&A with the charismatic maestra. Thursday evening, attend the full concert as Alsop leads the BSO in Beethoven's last and greatest piano Concerto (No. 5) performed by "Emperor" of the piano, André Watts. Also enjoy Bartok's enticing Music for Strings, Percussion and Celeste, as well as Barber's beautiful Adagio for Strings. Throughout your week, study the symphonic literature and selected works of Beethoven, Bartok and Barber.
