#18913 Snapshot: The Jazz Giants
Program
featuring Seth Kibel and Andy Fields
Considered a true "American" art form, trace the history and development of jazz through the legendary performances of Leon Bix Beiderbeck, William "Count" Basie, and Dave Brubeck. Also examine the lives, careers, and music of two of the most influential jazz royals: Pianist, the "Duke" Ellington and Clarinetist, "King of Swing," Benny Goodman. Recordings, video excerpts, and live demonstrations are sure to entertain!
Note: In contrast to our regular programs, which last 6 days and 5 nights, "Snapshot" programs are shorter, running 4 days and 3 nights. They are designed to provide an introduction to all that our Exploritas program has to offer! This program will begin on Sunday, August 15 and will conclude on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.
