Preparatory String Ensemble Competition Winner Announced

The winner of the 2011-2012 String Ensemble Competition is violinist Connor Chaikowsky. Connor, a student of Andrea Picard-Boecker, will perform the Allegro from Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in g minor with the String Ensemble on Saturday May 12th at 3:30 p.m. in Griswold Hall.

The judges also selected violinist Leah Mitchell as the runner up and awarded an Honorable Meniton to violinist Anne-Marie Wnek. Leah is a student of Matt Horwitz-Lee while Anne-Marie studies with Rebecca Henry.

Junior Concerto Competition Winner Announced

The winner of the 2011-2012 Junior Concerto Competition is pianist, Daniel Park. Daniel, a student of Elizabeth Stephenson will perform the first movement of J.S. Bach's Concerto in d minor with the Young Artists Orchestra on Saturday May 12th at 3:00 p.m.

Preparatory Concerto Competition Winner Announced

The Preparatory is pleased to annunce violinist Emily Mansfiled as the winner of the 2011-2012 Concerto Competition. Emily, a student of Rebecca Henry, will perform Max Bruch's Concerto in g minor with the Preparatory Youth Orchestra on Saturday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m. in Friedburg Concert Hall.
