Piano at Peabody Keyboard Workshop

An intensive weeklong program for classical and jazz pianists of all levels. This workshop features lectures, demonstrations, master classes, master recitals and performance opportunities.

Immerse yourself in a stimulating and inspiring week of Piano at Peabody at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Since the summer of 1998, this unique piano keyboard workshop has offered senior adult pianists of all levels an opportunity to refine their piano skills.

Peabody’s intensive workshop includes demonstrations, master classes and lectures led by distinguished professional classical and jazz pianists. In addition, throughout the week, you have the opportunity to participate in jazz or classical piano practice through hands on, one-on-one coaching. Two-piano practice rooms are also available. Recitals, featuring many of the master teachers, are scheduled each evening. The week culminates with a final recital showcasing talented Piano at Peabody workshop participants.

Sessions are held in classrooms and performance halls throughout our beautiful campus, and Peabody Conservatory practice rooms are available to you 24 hours a day.

Comfortable accommodations are provided at the Peabody Inn, located on the Peabody Institute campus. Each room in the 45-room inn has a private bathroom, two twin beds, air conditioning, telephone, dresser, desk, chair, and radio alarm clock. The Piano at Peabody administrative office is conveniently located in the Peabody Inn.
