First Year
Technique
Studies assigned at the discretion of the instructor.
Repertoire
Selected solo and orchestral repertoire.
Departmental Examination
- To include a mock audition from orchestral repertoire performed on all instruments.
- Participation in a joint recital, with each student required to perform one solo work.
Second Year
Technique
A continuation of work covered in the first year.
Repertoire
A continuation of the study of solo and orchestral repertoire.
Departmental Examination
Same format as the first year.
Third Year

A continuation of work covered in the second year.
Repertoire

- Recital, 50-60 minutes (playing time).
- Fifteen-minute jury of excerpts selected by the faculty from the recital program.
