The student body of about 600 students is half male and half female. Students come from 1,350 high schools in 43 states and 30 foreign countries.
The Conservatory has a 4:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
Peabody alumni are performing members of more than 30 professional orchestras, including the Baltimore and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, the Cleveland Orchestra, and the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics.
Peabody student ensembles have won 13 ASCAP Awards for Adventurous Programming since 1975, most recently in 2013-2014.
There are nearly 1,000 solo and ensemble performances and events at Peabody between September and May of each year.
