The Peabody Horn Studio is one of the most active and vibrant horn studios in the country. Led by Professors Philip Munds and Denise Tryon the Studio is a wonderful balance of pedagogy, performing and real life audition instruction. Both Denise and Philip are also active performers and soloists.

Denise is the 4th horn player for the Philadelphia Orchestra and an active chamber and solo artist. She along with Detroit Principal Horn Karl Pituch run the summer program “Audition Mode”, an audition seminar for professional hornists.

Philip is the Principal Horn of the Baltimore Symphony and also maintains an active chamber music performing schedule in the Baltimore/DC metro area.

With this active real life influence, the Peabody Horn Studio gets the very best in instruction and exposure to many great performances.
