Music Education

DMA Music Education, Arizona State University; MM Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting, University of Nevada, Reno; BM Music Education and Vocal Performance, University of Wyoming. Audrey Berger Cardany's teaching experience includes vocal and general music for grades PK-8 in the public schools of Montana, Nevada, and Rhode Island, as well as undergraduate and graduate courses in music education at the University of Rhode Island, University of Nevada, Reno, and Arizona State University. She developed music programs for local preschools in the Phoenix metropolitan area and co-created Musical Play a preschool and parent program offered through the Arizona State University School of Music.

Dr. Cardany is an active clinician with workshop presentations at local, state, and national conferences including The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and The National Association for Music Education (MENC). Topics include teaching music in early childhood, the young child's singing voice, music and movement, and music and literacy. Dr. Cardany is a contributing author for Silver-Burdett's 2005 K-8 general music textbook series Making Music and Making Music with Technology. She holds both Orff-Schülwerk and Kodály certifications, and conducted the choral ensemble for Kodály certification summer classes at Arizona State University. Her work is published in the Journal of Research in Music Education, General Music Today, and The Mountain Lake Reader.
