Andrew Hann, MM1

A Tenor/Haute-Contre specializing in French baroque music, Andrew Hann currently studies with Francois Loup, working towards an MM in Early Music Voice Performance. With a distinct interest in teaching and collaborative accompaniment, he also offers vocal and piano instruction for Music and Arts in Germantown, MD.

Having previously attained a BM in Voice Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory, he studied primarily under the mentorship of Dr. Janette Ogg. And, over the years, has received additional coaching support and guidance from other notable vocalists including: Julianne Baird, Aaron Sheehan, and Marc Molomot.

A few favorite roles have been Arnalta from Monteverdi's L'inoronazione di Poppea and Haute-Contre soloist for Charpentier's Les Arts Florissants.

James Kil

Korean-American tenor, James Kil is currently studying vocal performance with François Loup at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2012, James performed as Tamino, for summer production of Die Zauberföte for Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy. He performed as Giles Corey for spring Peabody opera production, the Crucible. Tim Brown from the Baltimore Sun stated, “James Kil strongly conveyed the noble character of Giles Corey”. He accomplished the role of Caliban in the world premiere of Ariel’s Tempest, by Douglas Allan Buchanan, with the Peabody Outreach Program in 2011 and 2012 season. James was involved in many different opera scene projects, including scenes from Norma (as Pollione), Rigoletto (as Duke), La Traviata (as Alfredo), Die lustigen weiber von Windsor (as Fenton), La Boheme(as Rodolfo), Tosca (as Cavaradossi), Aïda (Radamès), and l’amico Fritz (as Fritz). Presently, he is studying the role of Hadji for 2013 Peabody Opera production, Lakmé.  Aside from Peabody, James is serving as a music director and conductor at Korean Zion Presbyterian Church in Baltimore.
