Ear Training and Sight Singing

B.M. (violin, summa cum laude), Temple University; M.A. (theory pedagogy) and D.M.A. (violin), Eastman School of Music. Violin studies with Oleh Krysa, Jonathan Beiler, Mary Ogletree, and Rebecca Brown.  Founding member of Alarm Will Sound new music ensemble, the Deviant Septet, and LotUS new music ensemble.  Member, Signal new music ensemble.  Additional performances with the Zankel Band, the Washington  (DC) Contemporary Music Forum, and the Rochester Publick Musick.  Performances at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Kimmel Center, The Allen Room at Lincoln Center, Disney Hall, Merkin Hall, Miller Theatre, Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall, the Library of Congress, Amsterdam's Holland Festival, St. Petersburg's Hermitage Museum, London's Barbican Theatre, Boston's Gardner Museum, the Banff Centre, June in Buffalo, Joe's Pub, and on the Letterman show. Premieres of works include those by John Adams, Michael Gordon, David Lang, Meredith Monk,  Wolfgang Rihm, Augusta Read Thomas, and Evan Ziporyn.  Peabody premieres include those by Bruno Amato, Oscar Bettison, Greg Boyle, David Smooke, Mark Lackey, John Crouch, Jenny Beck, and Amy Kirsten. Notable collaborations include those with Theo Bleckmann, Gavin Bryars, Uri Caine, Michael Gordon and Ridge Theatre, Meredith Monk, Oliver Knussen, Hahn Rowe, Kenny Werner, Grizzly Bear, and Dirty Projectors. Recordings on Nonesuch, ECM, Chandos, Bridge, Cantaloupe, Tzadik, Suigeneris, and Winter & Winter. Former faculty, Eastman and Syracuse University. Member, Pi Kappa Lambda.
