Duties: Teach the four-semester sequence of Music Theory and Ear Training to first-and second-year students; in addition, teach other courses in the music curriculum as needed. May be asked to serve as music director for Musical Theatre productions as part of teaching load. Teach applied music in speciality area. Additional duties and responsibilties include, but are not limited to: preparation and evaluation of courses, student advising, service on College committees, ongoing development of speciality/field, participation with program faculty in developing and managing courses, curricula, academic policy, and the mission and vision of the Music Program. Full-time faculty are required to teach 15 credit hours per semester, maintain 5 office hours per week, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications: Masters degree in Music with at least 3 years (or the equivalent) of college-level teaching in Music Theory, excellent piano skills, facility with technology-based learning in Music, a creative and progressive view of musical styles and cultures, and a committment to mentoring students.

Pay Scale: 10-month faculty (Instructor), $48,100 - $54,137; 10-month faculty (Asst. Prof.), $50,890 - $57,278
