Description: The Rowan University Department of Music is seeking to fill a tenure track position in music technology/commercial music starting September 1, 2013. This person will develop and teach courses in music technology music production, and/or audio recording, as well as design and implement a new degree program in commercial music. Specific assignments will be determined by the skills and interests of the successful candidate and the needs of the department.

Qualifications: A masters degree in music (or commensurate experience) is required.

Assistant Professor of Music Technology
Montclair State University

The John J. Cali School of Music is seeking a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in the area of Music Technology to teach courses in graduate and undergraduate music technology and music education curriculum while also developing and supporting new strategies for music technology programs and curricula. This position will be responsible for supporting the increasing use of music technologies in the field and in the classroom within the John J. Cali School of Music, a building designed to support sophisticated music technology. Other secondary areas of specialization may include instrumental music (brass, woodwinds, strings, or percussion), choral/vocal music. The ideal applicant should be conversant with technological issues as they involve majors in performance, music education, music therapy, composition, and jazz.Full-time, tenure-track position.

Qualifications: Doctorate in music technology or relevant field with at least four years of public-school teaching experience. Higher education experience preferred. Candidates must show potential for strong leadership in the technology and education communities, commitment to research as well as teaching.
