Levine School of Music announces two part-time teaching positions in the Piano Department, commencing December 1, 2012. The instructor will offer private lessons at Levine’s Southeast DC and Virginia Campuses. There may be additional teaching opportunities at Levine’s other campuses in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Performance opportunities may also be possible for successful candidates with strong performance backgrounds. Compensation will be awarded according to qualifications and experience.
Qualifications: Candidates should be experienced teaching students with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds in private and group class settings. Ideally, candidates should have both a strong classical background and a capacity to teach other musical styles such as popular, gospel, blues and jazz. A Masters Degree in piano performance or equivalent experience is preferred.
