On-campus Graduate Student Housing

We are aware that it is often difficult for some Graduate Students to find off-campus housing when living so far away, and the Peabody Residence Life Office is happy to announce an on-campus housing option specifically reserved for Graduate Students. We are offering single and double rooms located on two floors of the Peabody Inn. This on-campus building is separate from the residence hall and is located steps away from the Dining Hall, classrooms, studios, Arthur Friedheim Library, practice rooms, and concert halls. All rooms are spacious and include a private bathroom. Practicing is not permitted in this building, but there are plenty of practice rooms on campus, very close to the Peabody Inn. The Peabody Inn rooms for graduate students do not contain kitchens, so if you choose this special Graduate Student housing option, you are required to purchase one of the two meal plans listed below. The cost to live in these rooms is as follows:

Room Fees for AY 2012-2013

Double Room: $7,780/year
Single Room: $9,430/year

Board Fees for AY 2012-2013

Plan I – mandatory for first year students, optional for others: $5,610/year
Plan II – minimum requirement for Upper-class Students: $5,200/year

For more information, please e-mail Kyley Sommer, Residence Life and Student Activities Coordinator, at ksommer@jhu.edu. We hope that you will consider this convenient housing option.
