Road Scholar at Peabody Program
Peabody Inn 410-234-4770
The Road Scholar at Peabody program attracts senior citizens (55 and over) from all over the country to the Peabody campus for intensive week-long music education classes and student recitals. The participants are on campus from Sunday through Friday each week, 44 weeks a year, sharing the dining hall and other common areas with Peabody students. Road Scholar participants are often retired professionals who come to the Peabody Institute in pursuit of lifelong learning experiences in music. They are an important part of the Peabody community and provide a warm, responsive audience for student recitals and concerts.
The 45 room Peabody Inn primarily provides accommodations to the weekly Road Scholar at Peabody participants. When extra rooms are available, parents and visiting faculty are also able to stay overnight in the Inn for a nominal charge. Advance reservations are required.
