Peabody Bassoon Week
July 14-19, 2013

A special guest will join us in Baltimore this July for the third annual Peabody Bassoon Week: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Along with the regular curriculum of our intensive, five-day program—including daily lessons, master classes, tenor clef readings (for younger students), chamber music coaching, and reed-making workshops—we will focus on Mozart’s Sonata for Bassoon and Concerto for Bassoon. You are likely to play the latter in more than half the auditions in your life! Participants will also have the opportunity to write a cadenza for the Mozart Concerto.  Whether you are preparing for a college or conservatory audition or looking to stand out as a music major, Peabody Bassoon Week is designed to help you become a stronger, more confident player and take your musicianship to the next level. There will also be plenty of evening activities and opportunities for socializing with other participants. You’ll find more information and an online application on this page. See you at the Peabody Conservatory in July!
