Individual instruction is available to children and adults of all experience levels—from beginners through the most advanced levels of study. Lessons are scheduled on an individual basis and are contingent upon teacher availability.
Students enrolled in individual instruction are required to have a practice instrument available.
Students will also have opportunities to participate in recitals, repertoire and master classes, and either of our music certificate programs. In addition, all Preparatory students receive one free admission (and a discount on one additional ticket) to most Peabody Institute concerts.
Tuition is based on a 16-week semester and must be paid in both fall and spring for each semester. We do not prorate tuition for late registration.

Percussion Group: Levels 1 & 2
Learning how to play music with other musicians is a vital skill, whether you want to be a drummer in a jazz combo, a new music musician, or play in Stomp on Broadway! You will learn that skill and MORE in a Percussion Group at Peabody. Students will audition to be placed in either Level 1 or Level 2 on Saturday, September 8, 12:00-1:30. Please call the Preparatory Office at 410-234-4630 to schedule an audition appointment.
Audition Requirements
Please bring 3-5 minutes of music to perform on snare drum and mallet instruments; be prepared to sight read. Performance on snare drum and/or mallet instruments should exemplify the student's current skill level. If you need recommendations on proper pieces/études, please email Ian Rosenbaum at ianrosenbaum@jhu.edu or Karen Seward at klseward77@mac.com.
First Rehearsal: Saturday, September 8, 2012, 3:15 pm.
