Peabody's Young Pianists Brightest Shine at Kenilworth Mall
Congratulations to all of our PYP pianists who performed in our Holiday Outreach recitals this past December at Kenilworth Mall in Towson!
Students of Laura Garvin, Yousang Kim, and Betsy Stocksdale dressed in their holiday finest and brought the best of PYP to share with holiday shoppers. Our students were really prepared for this event, and some were able to share piano music from both the classical and holiday repertoire. Every student played with poise, confidence, and enthusiasm. Some of our listeners were even singing along with the carols!
As always, our students were Peabody's shining ambassadors of music- bringing not only good cheer to everyone who heard them play, but also celebrating the values of our PYP program: dedication to excellence in learning and performance, sharing the ngift pof music within our communities, and the importance of teacher, family, and student commitment to the music making process.
A big "Thank You" to our teachers, and every family who made the effort to come out during such a busy time, and, of course, to our wonderful students who truly were examples of "when you love what you do - special things can happen!".
We are really looking forward to what next year's holiday season may bring!
