Rachel Mangold
Double Bass
Rachel Mangold recently received a Bachelor of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory where she studied with Paul Johnson. In addition to her studies on the double bass, Mangold has become passionate about community engagement in the arts, and she believes that music is a powerful tool for social change. She is embarking on a unique journey to become a teaching artist, working for and with institutions such as the Baltimore Symphony OrchKids and Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center. Mangold performs frequently in the area with a variety of ensembles such as the Occasional Symphony, Charm City Collegium, the SONAR ensemble, and with Classical Revolution Baltimore. She joined the faculty of the Peabody Preparatory in the Fall of 2012.
