The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University

The Preparatory faculty is comprised of distinguished pedagogues and noted performers from the Baltimore/Washington area and the national arena. Many are Peabody Conservatory graduates. Through their practice, achievements, and artistry in both their teaching and performance, instructors demonstrate their commitment to fostering a love for the arts and building skills necessary for students to attain their fullest potential.

Faculty members are the students' mainstay of guidance during their artistic study at the Preparatory. It is the faculty member who determines the appropriate repertoire, the correct practice techniques and time frame, possible participation in the Certificate program, recitals, and competitions. Students are strongly encouraged to discuss their joys and concerns with their instructor in order to reach their fullest potential.
