Jazz Guitar

Yankee studied at Wayne State University with Charles Postlewate and Joe Fava. He performed with Richard "Groove" Holmes and other jazz greats. Yankee was influenced by Kenny Burrell, Johnny Smith, Wes Montgomery, and George Benson. He has taught at the University level for 35 years in Michigan and Maryland. For the past 25 years, he has freelanced and played jazz clubs in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and the Washington D.C. region.
